IRCAM Velox cameras are the perfect IR measurement instrument for imaging fast processes. With a maximum pixel rate of 80 Mpixels/s they reach an effective image data rate of 110 Mbytes/s (58 Mpixels/s). This is an unrivalled value for infrared cameras. Velox cameras are equipped with a Stirling-cooled mercury cadmium telluride (MCT) focal plane array (FPA) detector.
The detector of the Velox 65k cameras has a size of 65.536 (256 x 256) pixels. For sake of maximum sensitivity the individual pixels are very large (40 µm pitch). The spectral sensitivity range of the cameras is given by the letter in the product name: S (SWIR), M (MWIR) or L (LWIR).
The Velox 288 L as a line infrared camera is unique on the commercial market. As an outstanding feature it has an extraordinarily high speed.

All Velox cameras are equipped with the common Camera Link interface. For radiometric applications optional temperature sensors are integrated.
The pro versions additionally have an MIO interface for frame synchronous signal generation and processing. These cameras are also prepared for the integration of further options: filter wheels and Gigabit Ethernet as additional data interface.
