With a maximum pixel rate of 18 Mpixels/s Taurus cameras exhibit effective data rates of 31.5 Mbytes/s (16.5 Mpixels/s). Taurus cameras use cooled detectors which permit high speed and excellent sensitivity. Besides speed, the size of a detector (number of pixels) is an important feature of IR cameras. The total pixel rate of an IRCAM camera is given with its product name: 110k denotes a total of 110.592 pixels (384x288) and 327k a total of 327.680 pixels (640x512). The spectral sensitivity range of the camera is given by the letter in the product name: S (SWIR), M (MWIR) or L (LWIR). For radiometric applications optional temperature sensors are integrated. The pro versions have an MIO interface for frame synchronous signal generation and processing.
