| IR LENSES |
| Every IRCAM camera is designed to operate in a certain spectral sub-range. Between 1.5 µm and 14 µm three sub-ranges, the so-called "atmospheric windows" are defined: SWIR: 1.5 µm - 3 µm, MWIR: 3 µm - 5 µm, LWIR: 8 µm - 14 µm. Also, most IR lenses are optimized for one of these windows. |

The IRCAM IR lenses use several lenses which are made of silicon, germanium or zinc-selenide. To obtain maximum transmission, all lens surfaces have anti-reflection coatings. We are offering a wide range of high-value IR lenses with different F-numbers and focal lengths, from microscope lenses to ultra wide-angle lenses. All lenses are specially made for our cameras such that for the entire image the optimum image quality is achieved. The lenses can optionally be equipped with a motorized focus.
